The weekend of April 29th through May 1st saw the 3rd Annual Weston Invitational Soccer Tournament bring 4000 visitors to the City of Weston. The event was a huge hit with one hundred and seventy nine (179) teams participating from local clubs and as far reaching as Key West, Tampa, Orlando, Melbourne and Jacksonville.
The competition was played on three different sites on twenty one (21) fields including the City of Weston’s new Soccer and Baseball facility Vista Park and at the Cypress Bay High school stadium field. West Broward Community Church where kind enough to allow the use of their fields on Saturday for the U9 thru U12 participants to play. The field was split into three levels of play, Premier, Classic & Challenge across twenty seven (27) age divisions running from U9 through U18. The Weston Invitational truly was a tournament for all. Two hundred and ninety seven games where played and 1209 goals scored in the spirit of competition and player development.
We would like to thank all of our guests, volunteers, referee’s, staff and sponsors and we look forward to seeing you all again next year.
Thank you
