2/15/13 (8:30pm): Schedules are updated with Friday night games being moved to Saturday and Sunday. Please review the schedules. There will be requests or changes. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Good luck this weekend.
2/15/13 (3:50pm): All four facilities (Central Park, Pine Island, Weston Regional Park, and Vista) are closed. Schedules will be updated in the coming hours. Please do not call. Please check the website and your email. Thank you.
2/15/13 (3:05pm): Weston Regional Park has been closed by the City of Plantation. Games scheduled for this evening will be rescheduled for Saturday and Sunday. We are expecting to have the schedules updated within 3-4 hours. Please be patient as we reschedule these games. Vista Park is currently opened and an update will be posted by 4:00 pm.
2/15/13 (2:50pm): The fields at Central Park and Pine Island have been closed by the City of Plantation. Games scheduled for this evening at Central Park and Pine Island will be rescheduled for Saturday and Sunday. We are expecting to have the schedules updated within 3-4 hours. 2/15/13 (12:10am): With regards to the weather we are expecting to play all scheduled matches on Friday as planned. We will update the website with any news or updates.
2/7/13: Schedules are temporarily down due to a glitch in the system. Schedules will be back up this afternoon. Thank you for your patience.
2/6/13: Schedules are now posted. With 491 teams and 863 games the tournament committee is looking forward to a great weekend of soccer. There will be no additional changes, requests, or movement of games in the schedule.
2/6/13: We are working on finalizing the flights and schedules, as well as dealing with coaching conflicts and requests. Schedules are expected to be posted late tonight. We will be sending email updates and tournament details in the coming week.
1/8/13: Online registration remains open. The official registration deadline was Monday, January 7. Teams that register after January 7 will incur a $50.00 late fee. Depending on age group and divisions teams will either be accepted or put on a active waiting list. Teams that are not accepted will receive a full refund. We look forward to your team’s participation in the Weston Cup & Showcase.
WESTON CUP & SHOWCASE
Florida’s premier Presidents’ Day Weekend tournament for boys and girls teams. In 2012, the Weston Cup had 485 teams from throughout Florida, multiple states, and international teams from Canada, Puerto Rico, Haiti, Venezuela, and Mexico that competed at four facilities which included over 30 playing fields. Teams from outside Florida, including international teams participate each year. The tournament will offer four levels of competition: Showcase, Gold, Silver, and Bronze for U8 through U19 boys and girls teams. For 2013 we are expecting over 475 teams from out-of-state, across Florida, and internationally.
GENERAL INFORMATION
The Weston Cup & Showcase will again be held Presidents’ Day Weekend, February 16-18, 2013. We anticipate teams from across Florida, out-of-state and international teams. The Weston Cup & Showcase is sanctioned by Florida Youth Soccer Association (FYSA) and US Club Soccer.
WHEN
Competition will begin on Saturday, February 16 and the tournament concludes on Monday, February 18, 2013. It is possible that local teams will begin play on Friday, February 15. Teams from out of the area who wish to play on Friday, in effort to spread out their games, may also be included to do so, but no guarantee can be given to accommodate such requests.
WHERE
The main sites will be Weston Regional Park and Vista Park in Weston and Central Park and Pine Island in Plantation with the additional sites to be determined. Weston Regional Park is one of Florida’s Premier Facilities and has hosted the State Cup Final Four and many regional events. Vista Park was opened for our 2005 Tournament and is a premier facility with four full size lit fields. Central Park and Pine Island are excellent soccer facilities and are considered to some of the best in the state of Florida.
WHO
Showcase Division is open to Boys and Girls U15, U16, U17, U18 and U19.
Gold, Silver, and Bronze Divisions are open to Boys and Girls U8 through U19.
The Weston Cup & Showcase has added a special U13 division for U12 teams looking to play 11v11 in preparation for the 2013-2014 soccer season. This division will only be for U12 teams. Depending on the total number of applied teams, Gold and Silver groups may be added to the special U13 division for U12 teams to better place teams according to the competitive level of the applied teams. Please note the special U13 division will play under the U13 rules as noted in the Tournament Rules and the registration fee will be the standard U13 fee ($650.00 per team). LEVELS OF PLAY
SHOWCASE: U15-U16-U17-U19 Age Group Brackets
Highest level of competition. Teams that compete regionally and nationally. Top Division I teams from across Florida, out-of-state, and international teams are expected to participate making this a highly competitive event at the Premier Divisions.
GOLD: U8-U19 Single Age Group Brackets
High level Division I teams from across Florida, out-of-state, and international teams are expected to participate making this a highly competitive event at the Gold Divisions.
SILVER: U8-U19 Single Age Group Brackets
Silver Division is for average to below average Division 1 and competitive Division 2 travel teams. If the number of applications at a certain level allows, Silver 1 and Silver 2 divisions may be created to allow appropriate competition. Teams from Florida, out-of-state, and international teams are expected to participate in the Silver Divisions.
BRONZE: U8-U19 Single Age Group Brackets
Bronze Division is primarily for recreational teams and new travel teams seeking comparative competition.
U13 (U12 11v11 Division): U12 teams and players preparing for 11v11 soccer for 2013-2014 season. Please note the U13 (U12 11v11 Division) will play under the U13 rules as noted in the Tournament Rules and the registration fee will be the standard U13 fee ($650.00 per team).
All applications must be approved by the tournament committee.
HOW DO I REGISTER
All teams must register on-line. Teams may pay by credit card online. Teams/clubs wishing to pay by check should make their check payable to Weston FC and indicate which team (registration number) the check is for and mail it to:

** Teams will not be eligible for acceptance until the registration fee has been received.
** Any team not accepted will receive a refund.
** Any team which withdraws after the application deadline of January 7, 2013 will not be eligible for a refund.
TOURNAMENT FORMAT
Each team is guaranteed a minimum of 3 games.
U8 and U10 teams play 6-a-side and may carry up to 12 players.
U11 and U12 teams play 8-a-side and may carry up to 16 players.
U13 to U19 teams play 11-a-side and may carry up to 18 players on their roster.
GUEST PLAYERS
Four (4) to six (6) guest players are allowed depending on age groups. Guest players are counted in the roster maximum. During the tournament a player may play for only one team.
