Congratulations to our own Brian James from the Weston FC ’93 Development Academy team who has been one of the 18 players selected to the Disney Soccer Showcase All Star Team and will be training with Chelsea in England August 2010 and then compete against a variety of elite international youth soccer teams.

All-Stars headed to Europe

[DISNEY’S SOCCER SHOWCASE ALL-STARS] Four 2009 U.S. under-15 national team players -- Malcolm Harris and Michael Gamble of the Baltimore Bays Chelsea and Brody Hickey and Andre Reyes of the Dallas Texans -- are among the 18 players selected to the Disney’s Soccer Showcase All-Star Team, which will represent the United States against top international youth teams in Europe next summer.

For the third straight year, the Disney all-star team will train at the Chelsea Football Academy near London in August and then compete against a variety of elite international youth soccer teams. Last summer the Disney All-Stars finished with a 2-0-1 record.

The team includes two players each from the Bays, Texans, Solar and Concorde Fire, which are competing in the Under-17 Showcase division at the 2009 Disney’s Soccer Showcase.
