The Weston FC U9 Girls Barcelona team participated in the Wellington Shootout thefirst weekend in January and dominated their age bracket in the Gold division, outscoringtheir opponents 18-3 and emerged as champions. “It is quite impressive to watch the goals that we have scored,particularly  where players are able to volleythe ball into the back of the net off fabulous corner kicks and well-executedcrossing,“ said Coach Rick Alaburda.   A special “Thank- you”  to Coach Christian Ibarra and his daughter,Sabrina, from the U8 Juventus team for helping out at the tournament. The team looksforward to more success in the future and to continuing to develop their skills inpreparation for the upcoming Weston Cup.
