Nike brought all the joy of Joga Bonita to its camp on 6/7/06. "The kids had so much fun it is difficult to describe" Said Carlos Parra WFSC Boys Director. During its first two weeks of camp the Fury had a record number of kids, topping 200.
Joga Bonito is a Nike sponsored community soccer initiative bringing together leagues, coaches, and soccer crazy kids to do what they love to do most, play soccer! The kids choose their own teams of 3, boys play girls, girls play girls, boys play boys and teams are mixed as well. The field is tight, the ball is heavier and the goals small, however the fun is fast a furious as the games are 3 minutes and the need for skill is huge!!
Nike held raffles, provided Gatorade, Music, Braclets, T-Shirts, Hats, Sac Packs and a Nike US Soccer watch in the grand raffle. This was all topped of with the tournaments winners of each of the four brackets recieving Nike Joga Bonito Medals.
