Weston FC's David Mejia Selected to US Club Id2 to go to Netherlands and Germany in February 2010
Congratulations David! Based upon David Mejia’s performance at the id2 Regional Training Camp in Zarephath, N.J., US Club Soccer has selected him to attend an international trip to the Netherlands and Germany, Feb. 5-14, 2010.
ABOUT THE TRIP: For the first time in the history of US Club Soccer’s id2 player identification and development program, a team of the best 18 boys’ players from this fall’s 2009 id2 Regional Training Camps will have the opportunity to take a post-event international trip.
The trip will take the group to the Netherlands and Germany, where the squad will have the opportunity to experience the day-to-day culture of some of the world’s most well-known professional clubs while also improving themselves on the field via high-level training and game competition. In addition to developmental opportunities, players will be observed by U.S. Soccer National Team staff and international clubs.
The trip will come at no cost to players, except passport-related expenses, etc. US Club Soccer and Nike will fund the trip and provide a comprehensive training package.
