The Fury 91/92 Nike Boys not only won the tournament, but also went undefeated through out.
The Championship match was played against a highly competitive West Pines United team whom had been defeated in group play the Fury. Knowing that Pines would be seeking revenge from their earlier loss Weston knew they had to start strong and took a 2-0 lead into half time, the second goal coming with the last kick of the half.
The second half saw the Fury goal keeper and defenders continually challenged by a strong West Pines offense. The team played smart and proved to be up to the challenge and effectively neutralized every attempt to score. The midfield and the offense played beautiful soccer, applying everything that they have been learning early on in the season to secure a 2-0 victory.
The hard work, dedication, enthusiasm and commitment of our players is starting to deliver results.
