The Fury 89/90 Premier Boys had an outstanding weekend when as they qualified for the Disney Showcase in December. Scoring 21 goals and only conceding 6 against opponents from GA, SC and Florida was however not the key the teams success. “The reason we did so well in this qualification event was because our speed of play and mentality have improved. We still have work to do defensibly and can get better physcolically, but we are moving in the right direction” said Head Coach and Fury Boys Director Marcello Neveleff. When ask who the MVP was for the tournament Neveleff’s response was simply “the whole team”.

The team opened this key qulaification event against Inter United Vipers (FL) coasting to a 4-1 victory. There second game was against South Carolina’s NECSA and this was a tighter game which saw the Fury win 2-1. the final preliminary game was played out to a 4-1defeat of CSA Renegades Nike out of Georgia.

The semi final proved a close game but the Fury has too much for Leg-A-Z-Caimans of Florida and proceeded to the final as 2-1 winners.

The final saw the Fury raise to the occasion and blast through to take the qualifying spot as 7-2 victors against Ajax America from Orlando Fl. This result allows the team to participate in the Disney Showcase in December 27-30, one of the top tournaments in the country, where several college coaches scout for their own programs.
