WFSC U11 Boys White
The U11 boys came into this tournament as a new team this season. "Many of the boys are new to travel soccer and the weekend saw them gel as a team and improve with every game. I was delighted with their progress in regard to always trying to keep the ball alive and play good football" said Head Coach Alan Foy. The U11's scored 28 goals and only conceeded 1 during the entire tournament.
The highlight was playing the WFSC U10 boys in the final. This was a very competitive game with the U10's being some what unlucky in front of goal. However, the U11's have defended well all tournament and continued to do so in the final and the U10's could not break through. With many attacking opportunities in the first half the U11's took the lead almost directly from the kick off in the second half. The U11's wrapped the game up with a brilliant finish on a breakaway with approx 8 minutes remaining. "We played our 10's in a league game 10 days ago and they gave us a footballing lesson, to improve as much as we have have a to compete with this very talented team in the final was very pleasing". Stated Coach Foy
