Fury’s U11 Boys continue to grow and take third in Jupiter

As the season has progressed the Fury U11 Boys White has grown in confidence and this tournament experience was no different. The first game saw a great opportunity for the boys to see how far they had come this season when they where matched up against Team Boca’s A Team from SFU Div 1. “The attitude of the boys going into this game was the most pleasing. They where up for it and saw it as an opportunity to measure themselves” said Coach Foy. The Fury boys took an early lead and played some outstanding soccer in a very even game. With the Fury pushing for an equalizer late in the second half Team Boca broke away and scored their fourth goal to win the game 4-2. After the game coach Foy stated that “This was a great performance a while we lost I really felt the boys competed throughout the game against a good Div 1 team”.

The boys second game was under the floodlights against a young and hungry team from Miami. In regular season the Miami Stars had run the Fury close in a very tight encounter and this was to be no different. Fury started the game sluggishly and came in at half time 3-1 down after Jorge Lopez had pinched a late goal to get the team on the score sheet. After a pep talk at half time the U11’s game out firing on all cylinders and showing tremendous character to pull the game back and win 4-3.

The third game was vs. the tournament hosts Jupiter Sting. The Fury boys started where they left off on Saturday night and went on to win the match 10-0.

This was a great tournament for our boys especially because we have added some new players to our roster recently and they did exceptionally well.
