Weston U12 Boys Premier competed in the Plantation Thanksgiving tournament November 25-27. Three solid victories against West Pines (2-0), Kendal Hammocks (8-1), and West Boyton Knights (9-0) secured Weston’s position in the semi-finals on Sunday. The semi-final ended in a 1-1 tie following a hard fought game. Weston lost the game against Kendall Soccer Coalition White 2-1 in penalty kicks. It was a disappointing loss but the boys should be proud of a well played tournament!

 

Weston U12 Boys Premier also competed in the US Club Soccer Florida State Cup the weekend of December 4-5 in Orlando, Florida. The team played 11v11 at the tournament as opposed to the normal 8v8 played at regular season games. Weston played three games on Saturday soundly defeated Parkland Predators 8-0, CFU Stingrays 4-0, and IUS Sharks FC 4-0 to win a spot in the semi-finals on Sunday. The team easily defeated NF United 6-0 in the semi-finals. The final game was a close match up of talent but Weston U12 Boys Premier defeated CFU Sting Rays of Jacksonville, Florida 2-0 to claim the victory and the title of champion of the US Club Soccer Boys U12 Florida State Cup!
