Weston U11 Nike team started the Plantation tournament with a big win over the previous years defending champions by score of 4-2. The win was a total team effort, and another big win for this team.   Goals were scored by 4 different players, Ryan Enriquez, Samuel Vinson, Justin Santos, and Alex Borimonoff.  

 

The Fury’s next game was against a feisty Kendall Coalition team, who has emerged as one of the toughest teams in South Florida. The game went back in forth and was tied with less than 10 minutes remaining when Kendall broke the game open with 2 goals.   "This was anybody's game up to the last 5 minutes, Kendall just beat us at the end' Coach Stephen Enriquez said after the game.   

 

In the final game, Weston and Team Boca tied 2-2.  This was another total team effort led by Nico Guevara who had 2 goals, Cesar Castano with an assist, and Steven Tuaty in goal.

 

Throughout the tournament, fine play was seen be all. Juan Benedetty consistently led the offense attack and Evan Williams the defense. Rodolfo Feliciano, Alan Pardo and Brennan Becker also provided great all around play.

 

Faced with arguably the toughest draw of the 14 teams in the U11 1st Division bracket, the Weston Nike team held its own and just missed out advancing to the semi-final round.
