Weston Fury Soccer Club is committed to providing its players with the finest developmental opportunities available within the area and, in the opinion of many, within the State of Florida. This is achieved through programming strategies designed to improve players, teams, and coaches. At the heart of the club’s technical staff is a team of professional coaches with Olympic, professional, collegiate, national, and international experience. Many hold Bachelor and Masters degrees in sports & education related fields. The WFSC staff includes coaches who hold their USSF "A" License, with multiple USSF National "B", "C", "D" and Youth License along with recipient coaches with NSCAA National and Advanced National Diplomas.
Ferreira joined the Fury ranks in June 2005 from South California where he was awarded the Cal South 2003 President’s Award for Excellence in Youth Soccer and was State Div 1 Coach of the Year in 2004. Gui-Gui has also won a National Championship with the Laguna Hills Eclipse U15 Girls in 2002 and has coached many players that have gone on to play for perennial powerhouses in the NCAA in addition to securing roster spots on the U.S. Youth squads that have participated in World Cups. Ferreira holds the USSF "B" License, NSCAA Advanced National Diploma and has a National Strength & Conditioning Certificate.
Carlos joined the Fury as the Boys Director in November 2005. He holds both the USSF "A" License and National Youth License and has been involved in ODP. Parra has extensive playing experiences that benefit our players. Carlos was the first Project 40 player to be signed by Major League Soccer where he played for the New York Metro-Stars, Miami Fusion and New England Revolution. He trained in with AC Milan in Italy, with Sunderland F.C. in England and was a member of the US Youth National team that went to the World Championships held in 1997.
Leo brings a wealth of experience to the Weston Fury. His knowledge stems from a professional playing career, before moving on and working extensively in the men’s game at semi professional and collegiate levels. Vega coaches with the Super Y League ODP and has taken teams abroad to face international competition on many occasions. Leo holds the USSF "B" License.
Formally the FIU Men’s Assistant Coach and Barry University Assistant Coach from 1995-1997. Reggie played professional soccer Miami Fusion (MLS) and was a member of the 1994 Haitian National Team. Pierre-Jerrome has been with the Fury for many years and has done an excellent job recruiting goalkeeping staff and gaining our keepers college exposure.
Christine Thomas -- Executive Assistant
Christine is at the core of the club’s administration and is a key part of why the Fury continues to grow. She has a business, communications and marketing background and brings a wealth of experience to the WFSC that ensures the smooth running of many of the club’s operations.
