Weston FC Technical Staff – Girls Program
Weston FC is proud to have assembled an elite group of coaches comprising the Girls coaching staff. This technical team has experience at the Olympic, Professional, NCAA, Regional ODP and State level. The WFC staff includes coaches who hold their USSF "A", "B", "C", and "D" National licenses, State D & E licenses, National Youth licenses, and many others who have been awarded the NSCAA Advanced National Diploma. Under the direction of our Program Directors, our coaches enable WFC teams to compete in Premier Divisions in Flugsa, State Leagues, Region Leagues and in nationally recognized tournaments through out the country. These include Atlanta Cup, CASL Shootout and Showcase, Las Vegas Showcase, Orange Classic, Texas Shootout, and WAGS. Our female athletes are strongly encouraged to participate in ODP and ID2, as the club looks to expand their soccer experiences. As our players and families make decisions that will affect the rest of their lives, our aim is to utilize the extensive knowledge and insight our staff possesses to assist players with their future decisions. Providing continuing education for players and parents is fundamental to the Club’s programming.

Carlos Parra – Technical Director
As the Technical Director for the Weston FC Premier Program, Carlos Parra is responsible for setting the technical direction for the Premier coaching staff across the Girls and Boys Programs. Carlos’ extensive playing experience, coupled with his coaching experience and certifications make Carlos a great asset to our club. Coach Carlos is fluent in English and Spanish. Chris Nolen – Girls Program Director
Chris will be involved in designing and directing a training curriculum for each age group at Weston FC. Chris will also serve as head coach for the U15 Weston/Sunrise R3PL Premier team. He will be assisting the Weston coaching staff in implementing age-appropriate training techniques and tactics to further develop the girls program. Chris will also provide instruction at training and games for teams in each age group as well as overseeing age and gender cross training sessions. In addition, he will conduct college soccer seminars to assist our U14-U18 players and parents in the college search process. Patti Barney - Head Coach
Patti has been an experienced and dedicated member of the Weston FC Girls Program staff almost since its inception. She holds a USSF National "C" License and has been coaching for 26 years at the Recreational, Club, High School and Adult levels. Patti has coached players of all ages and has been instrumental in assisting many girls with playing opportunities at the college level. She played for many years in competitive leagues and is committed to developing our youth and preparing them for collegiate level playing opportunities. Stephen Enriquez - Head Coach

Elizabeth “Liz” Lawson - Head Coach & PDP Coordinator
Liz has been involved with soccer in South Florida dating back to her youth playing days in Miami Lakes. She has been coaching youth soccer for over 15 years and has been coaching in Weston for the last 6 years. She holds an AYSO coaching license as well as the NSCAA Youth Diploma and holds a USSF E license. She continues to play in competitive adult soccer leagues in South Florida. Liz is a member of the Weston FC Board of Directors and is in charge of the Player Development Program for Weston FC. She is a native of South Florida, is fluent in English and Spanish and holds a BBA from the University of Miami and an MBA from Barry University. She is committed to developing young children and helping them to love the game of soccer.

Steve Lewis - Head Coach
Steve has been coaching youth soccer in Weston for the past 11 years. He joined Weston FC in 2009 and is presently the U14 Girls Premier Head Coach. Steve also coaches the Weston FC Super Y team. Prior to joining Weston FC, he was a head coach for the Weston Wild. Steve played his club soccer while growing up in South Florida. He has also played in various adult leagues including his army team while serving as a Military Police Officer in Europe. Steve is a nationally certified coach who has earned a NSCAA Advanced National Diploma (USSF “B” equivalent), NSCAA Advanced National Youth Diploma, NSCAA State Goalkeeper license and various other certifications. He is a member of the NSCAA, Positive Coaching Alliance and Safe Haven certified. Steve earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Florida Atlantic University. Russ Morgan - Head Coach
Russ Morgan has been a coach with Weston FC for the past five years. He currently holds an FYSA “D” license with National recommendation. In addition, he is Safe Haven certified. His coaching experience ranges from U5 to U13. As the current U12 girls premier coach for 2010-2011, his team finished the season with a 35-6-7 record. In tournament play, his team advanced to the playoff round in the majority of the tournaments entered at both U12 and U13 age groups. The team ended the season as FLUGSA premier champions and were finalists in the Region A Cup. While his team had tremendous on the field success, Russ made certain they gave back to the soccer community by participating in AYSO’s VIP program and as player-mentors in the successful Lil Sis/Big Sis inter-club program he co-developed. Russ attended Florida State University where he completed 12 credit hours of coaching related courses on the principles and theories of coaching along with his main course work in business administration. He is certified in standard first aid and CPR. His personal playing experience includes decades of soccer throughout south Florida. Sean Olmo has been coaching recreational and competitive youth soccer for more than ten years. He brings with him a wealth of experience having played and coached in some of the most competitive soccer programs. He has earned his FYSA "E" license, NYSCA license, Youth and Intermediate licenses and is a member of the NSCAA, Positive Coaching Alliance.

Donato Sasso - Head Coach
Coach Donato has received the NSCAA National Advanced Youth Diploma and AYSO Advance Coaching certification. Donato is also a member of NSCAA, Positive Coaching Alliance and is Safe Haven certified. Coach Mike has been with Weston F.C.since 2007 and has experience coaching in State Cup, Region Cup and the Super Y League. Mike has coached teams in many age groups to the finals and championship of tournaments such as Region A Cup, Disney Showcase, Orange Classic, CASL and local tournaments in Weston, Plantation, West Pines and Wellington. He was the assistant and then head coach of the Weston F.C. 94/95 Girls Premier team that won the 2008 Region III President's Cup and 2008 FLUGSA Championship. Mike is currently the head coach for the Archbishop McCarthy girl’s varsity soccer team and has been coaching high school soccer since 2006. In the 2010-2011 season, the Archbishop McCarthy Lady Mavericks won the District 15-4A Championship and reached the Region 4 final earning Mike the 2010-11 "Coach of the Year Award" for both the "Sun-Sentinel and Miami Herald." Besides running the summer soccer camp at Archbishop McCarthy, Mike has worked at several college soccer camps including the University of Miami, Florida Atlantic University, and the University of Florida. When he is not busy on the field coaching, Mike serves the City of Pembroke Pines as a firefighter / paramedic which he has been doing since 1988. Juan Carlos Tobon - Head Coach
Juan Carlos Tobon grew up in Colombia playing soccer since he was 5 years old. He played in high school and turned professional at the age of 15, playing for the 3rd Division with Club Los Millonarios. He is currently playing in the AYSO Adult league. Juan has coached girls and boys teams at AYSO for the past 5 years and holds a FYSA “E” License. |

Marcelo Valdivia – Head Coach
Marcelo joined Weston FC staff for the 2011-2012 season as the U17 Premier girls head coach as well as the U12 Nike girls head coach. Marcelo played youth soccer in West Kendall and began his coaching career in Virginia while serving in the US Navy. He coached in Kendall Soccer Coalition since 1995 where he eventually became the Director of the girls program from 2006-2010. He has also coached at the high school level for 6 years and is currently the head coach for varsity boys at Florida Christian. Marcelo is an educator for MDCPS and is currently working on his Masters in Education from University of Florida. He holds a USSF National “C”license, and is a US CLUB SOCCER id2 National scout.
