From the very first training session in the afternoon of day 1 of the camp, the Weston representatives sparked a positive impression on the coaching staff.  Our players competed in multiple scrimmages throughout the 4-day event and in every one of these games the impressed.

In addition to the in-field practice/game sessions, all players also attended a special presentation by Mr. Bob Jenkins, head coach for the US U-18 Men’s National Team and Dr. Dave Masur, head coach for St John’s University Premier Soccer Team.  These nationally recognized coaches talked to the players on what it takes to become a good soccer player and how player pools and selections into National and University teams are made.  Each player also had a private one-on-one session with their assigned coach.  During these sessions coaches discussed with the players strengths and weaknesses and recommended strategies for improvement.  These Fury players are now part of the Id2 database bank and will be followed by a period of 5 years by US Soccer Youth Development Program Staff
