Florida teams claimed 12 of the 14 Region C championships awarded at Jacksonville’s Patton Park.
The Weston Fury earned a trio of titles with victories in the Premier Boys U13, U14 and U15 competitions. In Monday’s Region C Finals, the Fury U13s downed Bridge FA, 6-2, while its U14s beat Strictly Soccer, 3-1 and its U15s defeated Strictly Soccer, 5-3, in a penalty kick shootout after the match ended in a 2-2 tie.
“Our success was a credit to the self-belief of our players, coaches and families” said Weston Fury Boys Director of Coaching Carlos Parra. “We work together as a club from U9 to U18. These results show that we are headed in the right direction to reach our goal of becoming the best club in the Southeast.”
The U13 & 14 Boys will attend the National Cup in Burlington, NC July 28-31.
