Although all players currently registered to and playing with the Weston Fury Soccer Club have been evaluated throughout the year, it is still mandatory to attend tryouts.  Academy players are not subject to the cut policy. This means that a player playing U9 or U10 during the 2007-08 season is guaranteed a place in the Weston Fury program for the 2008-09 season. The club cut policy goes into effect when a player moves from the U11 bracket to the U12 age group and stays in force thereafter. No 2008-09 U12 or older player is guaranteed a place on a team, age group or within the Club. This means that players of this age who are currently registered could find themselves not being offered a place on a team, age group or within the Club. The Technical Directors ultimately make decisions on player placement. Player placement is based upon commitment, individual development, performance, age group/team needs, team chemistry, attitude, attendance, and potential to improve throughout the year. 

 

It is mandatory for players to try out in their own age group on the first day of tryouts.  There will be no exceptions irrespective of whether they already play up.  If there are any questions cocerning this, contact Carlos Parra at parrasoccer@yahoo.com.
