Premier Girls Win West Pines Classic

The Fury 94/95 Premier Girls where glad to get back into action after a lady called Wilma passed by rather too quickly. The girls did not start like the whirlwind that had just been an un welcome visitor to South Florida but yet again this group found a way to overcome the questions asked of them throughout the tournament to take first place at the West Pines Kick Off Classic.

Heather Marsh was instrumental all weekend driving the team on from any position asked of her always giving her all and setting high expectations for her team mates.

In their first game the Fury played against the Kendal Coalition. This proved to be a tough contest but the Fury always had the upper hand a came away worthy 2-1 winners.

Game two saw a match up against Miramar with the Fury running away 3-1 victors with Victoria Lares being her every reliable self as the teams back bone from between the posts.

The third game was critical to the outcome of the group and the Coral Springs Storm put up a tremendous fight but it was not enough as Weston advanced to the final as 1-0 winners to play Plantation Eagles.

The outcome of this game was never in doubt as the Fury took command and were always the better team. The Eagles missed a great opportunity to change the momentum but could not convert the penalty correctly awarded. The final whistle saw the Fury 2-0 winners.
