Presidents Cup Report

The Weston Fury U11 Premier Girls came away form Presidents Cup with third place. The girls met a determined team in Central Florida United in the semi final and the game could not be decided in 60 minutes of regulation play, therefore extra time was required. With the game looking like it was going to penalties CFU pinched the game winner and secured a place in the final against Space Coast. “We are all disappointed, however this a great experience for the players. We had the better chances in the game but credit has to go to CFU for their efforts and resilience". Said Assistant Coach Riccardo Fassi

Sunday consolation game saw the Fury match up against Brandon F.C. who they had started their competitive season against with a 1-1 tie at the Diadora Shootout. The Fury still reeling from Saturdays defeat and with tired legs after their extra time started slowly and came in 2-1 down at half time. However, after making some changes at half time the Fury came out inspired and dominated the second half to secure a 3-2 win with goals from Andiena Sifontes, Heather Marsh and Victoria Lares.

The girls will be at the Countryside tournament over the spring break.
