Fury Girls Win Weston Invitational
Once again the Fury U10 Girls proved to be dominant in their own age group at the 2005 Weston Invitational. With two key players absent it was time for other girls to step up and that is exactly what all the girls did.
In the preliminary round the Fury faced new competition from Jacksonville, Plantation and Coral Springs. The girls class insured that they made it through scoring 18 goals and conceeding 2.
In the final they met a quality opponent in CFU Speed whom they had battled to defeat at the Countryside tournament final at Easter. Once again the match was played in a fine spirit and the Fury came through as 4-1 winners.
"the most pleasing aspect of this tournament was that the girls played well every game. It also shows how much depth we have when we offer opportunities to players from other teams to come in and develop with this group" said Assistant Coach Riccardo Fassi
